  2. There’s no other Internet service activated near your extender.

  3. Your Extender is working properly without any hardware fault.

  4. No radio waves emitting device is kept near the Netgear router.

  5. Your Netgear extender is not placed in the basement or any dead zone of the house or workplace.

  6. You have kept different SSID names for the router’s network that makes it easy for the device to identify and display them.

  1. Connect the extender to computer with an Ethernet cable.

  1. In case, you forgot the password during login, Reset Netgear Extender and get the default credentials.

  2. After you successfully login Netgear Extender, navigate to Setup and then, Wireless Settings.

  3. Then, under Security options- check the password shared in the Password (Network key) field. It should match your router’s password.

  4. If the password doesn’t match, CHANGE it and click Apply button to save the stored changes.

  5. Now, power cycle modem, router and the device connected with router like computer.

  6. Wait for the reboot process to complete.
